David Feehan, Visual Arts & Technology

David is a 4th year MUN student working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Diploma in Performance and Communications Media. He has also worked as a tennis instructor for the past four years. This is his first year as a member of SIFE and he is proud to be a part of such a dedicated organization.

Jon is in his second year at Memorial, beginning to work towards a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) degree. Jon has been involved with SIFE from the beginning of his university career because it gives him the chance to help people of all ages throughout his community. When he completes his undergraduate degree, he hopes to attend law school.

 

 

Rena Kufudi, Financial Controller

Rena is completing her fourth year in the Bachelor of Commerce Program (Co-op) program at Memorial University, with a focus in Accounting and a minor in French language. Rena plans to complete her Chartered Accountancy designation upon graduation. Her involvement with SIFE Memorial began in 2008 and currently holds the position of Financial Controller. Rena is a member of SIFE Memorials National winning presentation team and is excited about representing her province and country on the international stage. Rena loves what she does at SIFE Memorial because it has given her the opportunity to work with so many different age groups and demographics and see the impact SIFE’s projects have on a provincial, national and international scale.

 

Kaitlin Smith, Financial Officer

Kaitlin Smith is a third-year student at Memorial University pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (Cooperative) with a concentration in accounting as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. This is her third year as a member of SIFE Memorial, and she has loved every experience the organization has given her thus far. From visiting Based in Business participants, to working with youth in the FYI program, the entire SIFE experience has been extremely rewarding for Kaitlin.

Shane Skinner, Based in Business

Shane Skinner is currently in his 4th year of studies at Memorial University working towards a Bachelor of Commerce with a Finance concentration. Shane has been actively involved with SIFE Memorial for a little over a year, during which time he was a member of the Entrepreneurship presentation team which found tremendous success both regionally and nationally, as well as being named the Project Manager of Based in Business. Shane is eager to build upon SIFE Memorial’s success this past year and is looking forward to continuing to make a difference in communities across our province and nation.

 

Diana Flemming, Based in Business

Diana is currently in her third year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree program working towards a concentration in international business, and a minor in Political Science. Since joining SIFE Memorial a little over a year ago, Diana has been a member of the Financial Literacy presentation team which found great success at both the regional and national level. She also attended the 2011 SIFE World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year Diana was chosen to be Co-Project Manager of Based in Business, and she is excited for the year ahead!

 

Liam Morrissey, Be Green

Liam is currently studying mechanical engineering and is in his third year of the program here at Memorial. As Project Manager of Be Green, he has seen the program expand from Newfoundland and Labrador to every province in Canada. When he’s not SIFE’ing or studying, you’ll likely find Liam on the basketball court or the football field. After graduating, he hopes to settle down and raise a nice family.

 

Erika Kelland, Bright Futures

Erika is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) program, concentrating in marketing and communications as well as completing a minor in French. Erika began her involvement in SIFE this past January as the Program Coordinator of Transcontinental Market Research and now just a few shorts months later is the proud Project Manager of Bright Futures. In her position, Erika oversees all corporate relations pertaining to the project, working with industries and community organizations to achieve a better awareness of diversity and inclusion as well as sparking initiatives to accept and celebrate diversity initiatives in the workplace. Erika believes joining SIFE Memorial has truly been one of her most rewarding decisions and looks forward to what the future holds for her and the organization.

 

Courtney Youden, Bright Futures

Courtney is a fourth-year psychology student working towards a Bachelor of Science. This is her third year with SIFE Memorial and is currently the Co-Project Manager for Bright Futures. In her role she engages the community on the topic of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Courtney enjoys facing new challenges and nature photography. She plans to pursue further education in the field of forensic psychology following her graduation in spring 2012.

My name is Kelsey Hayley and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) degree with a concentration in Human Resources. I am just finishing up my first year in SIFE and can’t believe how fast I got hooked. From starting as a volunteer in the Think Green program, I have expanded my portfolio quickly to now being the Project Manager of Choices and also being involved as a mini-mentor in Based In Business. SIFE is such a great organization to be apart of and I can’t believe I didn’t join sooner! From the friendships I have made to seeing how great of an impact SIFE Memorial makes, it is truly a rewarding experience.

 

Rebecca Pelley, FLAGS

Rebecca Pelley currently holds the position of Think Green International Liaison at SIFE Memorial. She is a business commerce student concentrating in marketing and is in the class of 2013. She has been volunteering with SIFE for three years and just loves it! She also enjoys traveling and competitive running.

 

 

David Primmer, Let’s Can Hunger and Let’s Grow

David Primmer is in his fourth year at Memorial University and in the final year of his Bachelors of Business Administration degree. This is his second year involved with SIFE Memorial and he has been involved with most projects at one point or another. He was on the presentation design team for the Financial Literacy topic team at the national competition last April and is also currently in charge of the development of sifememorial.ca. David currently works part time at Enterprise Rent-a-Car as a Manager Trainee and also works with Memorial University part time as an Assistant Career Fair Coordinator.

 

Sara Blake, Think Green

Sara is currently in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) program at Memorial University, with a focus in Accounting. Becoming involved with SIFE Memorial in 2010 through the Think Green project, Sara has quickly gained a passion for SIFE and has expanded her portfolio of projects. Beginning her second year of SIFE, Sara currently holds the role of Project Manager of Think Green. Sara loves being involved with SIFE Memorial because it provides the opportunity to work with people of all ages, network, build relationships, help others and create lasting memories. Sara attended the 2011 Nationals and is a member of the 2011 World Cup Team. Set to graduate in 2013, Sara plans to pursue her education by completing her Chartered Accounting designation.
