Alexandra States, President

Alexandra is a fourth-year psychology student pursuing a Bachelor of Science. This is also her fourth year with SIFE Memorial. As President, Alex oversees the day to day operations of the team, helping volunnteers to achieve continuous growth, impact, and innovation in our programs. She is also a member of the National Presentation Team (2010, 2011) and attended the 2009 SIFE World Cup in Berlin. Alex enjoys public speaking, working with kids, and traveling. Set to graduate in spring 2012, she plans to pursue further education.

Danielle Seward, Vice President, Project Management

Danielle is currently finishing her fifth and final year of both a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science. She aspires to one day work in the media industry. Outside of SIFE, Danielle spends most of her time volunteering with the Janeway Children’s Hospital, and is a former Miss Teen Newfoundland and Labrador.
Rebecca Aylward, Vice President, Project Management

Rebecca is in her last year of the Business Commerce (Co-Op) program, concentrating in finance would like to pursue a career in the financial services industry upon graduation in April 2012. As the Vice President of Project Management Rebecca oversees a portfolio of SIFE’s projects including Be Green, Think Green, Bright Futures, Choices and TCMR. Rebecca is also a member of SIFE Memorial’s National winning presentation team and looks forward to representing our province and country at the World Cup in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in October 2011!
Michael Browne, Vice President, Human Resources

Michael is currently completing his final year of the Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) Program. Since beginning with SIFE, he’s held leadership positions in Choices and Transcontinental Market Research, along with acting as the head of volunteer recruitment. In the 2010/11 SIFE year, Michael was part of Memorial Financial Literacy presentation team, which found success on both regional and national levels. Michael is eager for the new challenges and adventures to come in this upcoming year!
Lynn Morrissey, Faculty Advisor

Lynn has been a member of the Memorial University Faculty of Business for the past 20 years, specializing in communications and organizational effectiveness. Seven years ago, Lynn became the Faculty Advisor for SIFE Memorial and has been a driving force behind the team’s success. Lynn continues to be impressed with the quality of the work completed by the SIFE Memorial team.
